Includes 82 items, mostly postal cards but also a few stamped envelopes, all but 2 used (6 unaddressed with first day or favor cancels, others are postally used); also 10 cut squares. The collection focuses on the postal history of Thrace (then a part of the Ottoman Empire), with particular attention to the Balkan War period (1911-1913), including an interesting section of the unusual postal stationery material of the short-lived "Provisional Independent Government of Western Thrace", as well as examples of the Bulgarian occupation of parts of the area during the Balkan War.
